Salim comes with expertise in Industrial application of Enzymes, in addition to extensive Business Development / Sales experience in the Pharmaceutical industry with specific focus on APIs.

He has published research & review articles in International Journals on “Surface Modifications of Polymeric Supports for enhancing the Purification of Proteins”.

Prior to founding SGIPL, he has had several years of work experience in leading Pharmaceutical companies, including Biocon Limited. His professional experience was primarily in Business Development, Licensing and API Sales.

At Biocon, he was primarily responsible for Business Development of Industrial Enzymes & APIs in India & ASEAN region. He played a key role in building API Sales organization at Biocon to the size of $100 Mn.

Salim has passion for teaching and mentoring young science & management graduates.

He is a Pharmacist by education and has a Masters in Bioprocess technology from the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai, India with a Management qualification from NMIMS, Mumbai, India.

Prior to founding SGIPL, Abhijit has had several years of work experience in leading pharmaceutical companies, including Biocon Limited.

His professional experience has primarily been in Business Development, Marketing/Technical services, Product commercialization, Licensing & Regulatory for Veterinary to Human Pharmaceuticals.

At Biocon, he was primarily responsible for Business Development in emerging markets (SEA, Russia-CIS and ME-Pakistan) for Technology, API & Enzymes. He played a key role in negotiation & closure of several licensing deals.

During his career, Mr. Abhijit Kale has had the opportunity to seize multi-million dollar worth strategic deals in the Biotechnology space.

Abhijit is a graduate in Foods & Fermentation Technology from University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai, India with a Management degree from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, India.
